“Big Love” by Lindsay Buckingham (1987)

26 01 2009

Lindsay Buckingham was the guitarist/singer/songwriter in Fleetwood Mac, a band full of amazingly talented people who also sang and wrote great songs.  But all of their tracks featured Mr. Buckingham’s layered, intuitive guitar parts, which I think are just incredible.

The song “Big Love” was originally recorded by the full Fleetwood Mac, but on a recent tour, Mr. Buckingham performed it solo.  Just he and his guitar.  I watch this performance, his guitar playing, his impassioned singing, and I think, “How is this even possible?”
